Designed using the latest CAD surface modelling software. After exhaustive computer modeling of a wide range of designs, three test subjects were decided on. These designs were then produced and 'real world' tested on a range of model boats to precisely determine which gave the best performance.
With the final design decided upon, metal dies were cut to produce the wax models used in the investment casting process. Investment casting faithfully reproduces the cavity in the metal mould resulting in a final product so accurate that balancing of the propeller is not required for most scale boat applications.
The alloy used in these props has also been carefully considered, resulting in a rich brass colour with the strength of mild steel. Caldercraft brass propellers are currently available in left and right hand, 3 blade.
